Step into the legacy of the Egyptian Blue Lotus, a flower once celebrated in ancient temples along the Nile for its beauty and symbolism. Each bloom is harvested from the tranquil waters of Egypt and delicately sun-dried to preserve its form, rich colour, and natural essence.

This particular variety is known for its earthier aroma and golden-blue hue, embodying the grounding and timeless energy of the Egyptian landscape. Crafted for ritualists, collectors, and those who cherish moments of stillness and reflection, these blooms are a sensory expression of history itself.

How to Prepare - We like to take the petals off for a smoother taste

  • Teacup: 1-2 flower per cup, steep at 80–85 °C for 10–15 minutes.

  • Teapot: 3 flowers per 750 ml teapot, steep at 80–85 °C for 10–15 minutes.

  • Sun Tea: 4 flowers per 1 L glass vessel, steeped in sunlight for 4 hours, then chilled overnight for a crisp, floral infusion.

Each flower may be gently re-steeped for a softer, second brew.

Egyptian vs. Asian Blue Lotus

While both flowers belong to the same family, the Egyptian Blue Lotus carries a deeper golden tone and more grounded aroma, offering a distinctly rich ceremonial presence. The Asian Blue Lotus tends to be darker in both colour and taste — gentle and airy, while the Egyptian feels ancient and rooted. Goes well with vanilla and milk.
